The Color Run, part of MLB's All Star weekend, brought thousands of runners and guests into The Square Sunday morning.
The run started at Voinovich Bicentennial Park with a course that brought them through the city before ending in Public Square. The finish line along Superior Avenue was covered with inflatable archways and a giant bubble making machine. Runners were greeted with a celebration on the Gund Foundation Green which included a live DJ, color throws, food and beer. The Color Run is coined as "The Happiest 5K on the Planet," because it isn't meant to be a competitive race. Public Square was the perfect host site for The Color Run, to help kick off All Star week activities across the city.
