The City of Cleveland Division of Recreation is bringing free lunch for kids to Public Square.
The Summer Food Service program began in 2016, and this year has been added to Summer Splash in The Square presented by the Cleveland Foundation. A select number of free lunches will be given out Monday through Friday.
Meals are given to kids 18 years old and under. “During the school year, many of our families rely on school meals to meet the nutritional needs of their children,” said Mayor Frank G. Jackson. “This Summer Food Service program assures that our families will not face a void when schools close for summer recess.” Bring your kids to Summer Splash in The Square every day this summer to cool off in the splash pad, or just to get your kids active. Kids can participate in up to 20 free activities now through August 31. Summer Splash in The Square happens daily between 11am and 4pm.
